When Los Angeles-based animal rescue organization received a call about a puppy stranded in the Los Angeles River, they knew instantly that they didn’t have much time to act.
The puppy was inches from death after being terribly abused by its owner. It was also thrown down 30 feet into a canal.
This wasn’t a typical rescue. The team at Hope For Paws was racing against a clock, and if they didn’t win, then the puppy would be lost.
