GOOD NEWS: Happy Ending For 5-year-old Boy After The Thieves Stole His Motorbike [PHOTO]

There is a happy ending for a little boy in the South Sound who was heartbroken when thieves stole his cherished motorbike from his dad’s garage in Tacoma, Washington.

When Steve Nelson saw the story earlier this week on KIRO 7, he knew he had to do something.

“To see him crushed like that broke my heart and there’s no way we’re going to let that happen,” Nelson said.

Five-year-old Carson bought the motorbike with his own money after saving up for two years.

“He worked really hard. For someone to take that from him, it devastated me,” Carson’s dad, Mike Vandervoort, said.

Nelson, a father of three, could relate to Vandervoort’s pain and wanted to help Carson.

“We got to get these kids feeling like there is a good world out there and people that care about them,” Nelson added.

As the owner of Nelson Motorsports in Snohomish, he wanted to replace Carson’s stolen motorbike with a brand-new one.

So he contacted KIRO 7 and got in touch with Carson’s dad to arrange a surprise for Carson.

But that’s not all.

He also rounded up all of this gear – a helmet, clothing, a GoPro camera more — all donated by his friends in the motorsports community.

As soon as Carson walked in to Nelson Motorsports, Nelson surprised him with the good news.

Carson’s smile said it all.

When KIRO 7 asked how he felt, he answered, “Happy.”

It was above and beyond anything Vandervoort was expecting.

“I’m shocked, excited, definitely blessed and feeling lucky,” Vandervoort explained. “Despite what happened, this is amazing. Shows him there are good people out there still.”

The thief who stole Carson’s motorbike still has not been caught and his bike still hasn’t been found.

Vandervoort says if they ever get it back, they will pay it forward and donate it to someone else.
