Woman Confessed To Killing 3 Sons Because Her Husband Paid More Attention To Them Than Their Daughter [WATCH]

A woman accused of killing her three sons described how she did it to police in videos shown in court Wednesday, but a judge must decide whether the confession will be allowed. Brittany Pilkington, 24, of Bellefontaine, killed 3-month-old Noah Pilkington, 3-month-old Niall Pilkington and 4-year-old Gavin Pilkington by suffocating them with a blanket.

“I didn’t want to see it,” she said in explaining why she used a blanket, according to the Columbus Dispatch. “I didn’t want to see them suffering.”

Pilking allegedly told investigators that she killed the 3 boys because her husband paid more attention to them than he did to their 3-year-old daughter, Hailey. She also admitted to being depressed and that she had been thinking about suicide, but resorted to killing her sons.

Pilkington made her first appearance in court on three counts of murder where a judge ordered she be held in jail on a $1 million bond.

But Pilkington has pleaded not guilty to the killings because she went through a 12 hour interrogation and was forced to do a confession in which she claims weren’t true.

She also said she feared her sons would grow up to be abusive men, according to Logan County Prosecutor Bill Goslee.

“This mother had this plan for (Noah),” Goslee said in a news conference. “It was her plan to eliminate male children, so this father would have more time for her and for her daughter.”

Joseph Pilkington, husband, has not been linked to the boys’ deaths and will not face charges.

Pilkington’s parents expressed disbelief towards what their daughter did to her own children.

“It’s my daughter, but it didn’t look like my daughter,” her father, Ed Cummins, 41, tells the Daily News. “She just looked cold. I can’t believe she’s done all this.”  Cummins says he has not yet spoken with his daughter. “I do want to talk to her, you know, to try to get a little closure on why she did this,” he said, “but honestly I don’t even know where to start with it.”
