Shortly after sunrise, a walker discovered a hulking mass had washed ashore on a beach in the Philippines. As news spread, locals gathered around it, curious to discover what the whitish, hairy blob was that washed ashore on Cagdaino, Dinagat Islands.
Locals were snapping selfies of themselves with the monster-like object and gawked at the strange hairy beast.
People think it came ashore after a recent earthquake sent the area scrambling. It is not the first alien-like thing to wash ashore in the South Pacific after the earthquake that struck the area on Sunday.
After dozens had gawked at the large beast, one brave local took out his machete and began cutting into the creature.
Some brave viewers brought their cameras close while others backed away – unsure what would burst forth from the beast that had washed ashore their remote island.
The video footage and images of these white mammoth beasts have gone viral all over the world. And no one seems to know exactly what it is.
Some people have offered suggestions, but it is unclear if they are just guessing or educated hypotheses from the scientific community.
A number of people say it is Appa – the fictional character from the Nickelodeon animated TV series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” In the program, Appa was a large mammal with six legs that could fly through the air.
