Tabbatha Mature, 41 is allegedly accused of choking a teenage girl who was blocking her view last Wednesday night during a performance of Magic Kingdom’s Wishes.
The unidentified victim was with a group of friends and couple of chaperones on a High School trip to the Magic Kingdom Wednesday night around 9:30 in the evening. The group of teenagers were seated in front of Mature’s family who was also seated waiting for the fireworks show to start.
The moment the firework started the young group stood up blocking Tabbatha and her family’s view, she then asked the girls to sit down so they could see the show.
According to the document report, the agitated Mature got up and began to walk away when the teenager told them they could take their spot. Local authorities stated that Mature grabbed the girl by the neck and pushed her head to the ground saying “You don’t want to mess with me.”
The victim’s friends got Mature off the girl and allegedly reported the incident to a Disney World Employee.
Although there were noo visible injuries were present but the teenager’s parents still pressed charges against Tabbatha Mature, she was arrested for child abuse but was released after posting $2,000 bond
But in Mature’s defense, Mature’s lawyer, Adam Chrzan, disputes the claims in the arrest report. Chrzan said the confrontation started around an argument between Mature’s 17-year-old daughter and the other teens. “There wasn’t a physical fight,” he said, adding that “there was a request for them to sit down or move, and things rolled on from there, but she never choked the alleged victim.”
Mature had never been arrested before and the incident “has been a complete shock.” He said he plans to “vigorously defend her” with the aid of witnesses authorities did not talk to.
