An organic beauty brand is wondering why another company has conceived a new name for ‘vagina’, which is a perfectly acceptable word already.
Freda Health, which makes ‘organic tampons’, tweeted a photo of a product that has named the female reproductive organs the ‘V-zone’.
DailyFresh has used the odd term on its ProSkin range. The skincare formula apparently “gently cares” for women’s “intimate areas” and should be used daily for “exceptional V-zone care”.
As if #periods didn't have enough shame and taboo surrounding it, we now have a V-Zone!! Like why? Do men have P-Zones? Come on @Bodyform!! pic.twitter.com/32Bf1hd0kG

Women are questioning why, in 2017, a company is being needlessly restrained when it comes to period care. Many feel that periods are still viewed as something that shouldn’t be publicly discussed – a relic of the overtly reserved past.
“As if periods didn’t have enough shame and taboo surrounding it, we now have a V-Zone!!” wrote Freda Heatlh. “Like why? Do men have P-Zones? Come on”.
More like body shaming

It is not believed that any male beauty range uses the term ‘P-zone’. People have reacted unfavorably to the ‘V-zone’ phrase.
Is this for real? Come on #Bodyform we know what and where our #vagina's are even if you don't. #VivaLaVagina

If @bodyform made sanitary products for men they would call our genitals the Boyzone.@jessphillips
