This particular incidents newsworthy enough on its own. But it’s also important for a different reason.
For the past couple years, liberals and the mainstream media have been working overtime to paint “white” America as inherently racist toward blacks and other minorities.
In reality, there isn’t a whole lot of racism going on these days (and certainly no more than in any other country), so liberals and the media have had to latch on to a handful of incidents and shove those in our faces over, and over, and over again.
All it takes is one good race-based hate crime for the media to harp on the issue for weeks on end.
No doubt, that was at least part of the motivation behind 29-year-old Eddie Curlin’s race-baiting vandalism at Eastern Michigan University over the past several months.
Curlin scrawled “KKK” and “Leave Ners” in several locations on several occassions.
The message of white supremacy was clear.
The only problem? Curlin is black.
Via The Daily Caller:
Eddie Curlin, 29, was arraigned Monday, Oct. 23, in Washtenaw County District Court on three counts of malicious destruction of property, four counts of identity theft and one count of using computers to commit a crime, reports MLive.
The charges are related to three incidents of vandalism that appeared to be targeting the black community at EMU.
After the first messages appeared in September, students marched in the streets in protest for hours, eventually ending up at the home of EMU president James Smith. After an EMU football game several days later, a group of students stormed the field and raised their fists in a display of “black power.”
