[VIDEO] Teen’s Encounter With Store Employees Captured On Camera, Goes Viral

One shopper was picking up a few essentials from her local supermarket on Wednesday when she happened upon a heartwarming scene between an employee and a young man.

Audrey Mark took a picture of the employee, now identified as Dennis Roberts, helping the unidentified young man tie a tie so he could look professional for a job interview at a nearby Chick-Fil-A fast-food restaurant.

“I see this young teen being hovered over by this Target employee,” Mark told ABC 11. “So, as a mom of three teens, I go to, ‘What did he do?’”

Upon closer examination, Mark saw that the Target employee was attempting to fix the teen’s tie, and it was then she realized that the teen was preparing for a job interview.

“I hear him peppering him with all this advice on interview skills and handshakes,” Mark explained. The loyal Target shopper says that because she had never seen anything like that before, she took out her phone and snapped a picture.

Prior to Audrey Mark noticing the Target employee helping the young man, Cathy Scott was the first to encounter the teenager. Scott, an employee at the Raleigh Target store, noticed the teen looking for something and asked if he needed some assistance.

“I asked him if he needed help and he told me he needed clip-on ties,” Scott explained. “We didn’t have any.”

Instead of leaving the teen to figure it out for himself, Scott went and got her co-worker Dennis Roberts and asked him if he could tie a tie for the young man.

“Cathy says, ‘Can you tie a tie?’ I said, ‘Yes,’” Roberts recounted. “We took the wrapping off it, and I tied it on my neck, and fit it over head adjusted it and tightened it…fixed all his collar buttons and he was set to go. We said, ‘Make sure you look him in the eye.’ I’m saying make sure you give him a firm handshake, and she showed him… he tucked his shirt in.”

“He was saying, ‘Yes, mam’ and he was just soaking it all in,” Scott added.

Mark says she was touched by the kindness of the Target employees that day.

“It was a very quiet simple moment, but it was very profound, honestly ,kindness… from strangers… in a Super Target,” Mark noted. “He leaves and all these Target employees are screaming ‘Bye! Good luck! Tell us how it went.’”

The team at Target reportedly went to the Chick-Fil-A that the teen was interviewing at the following day and asked the manager how it went. They don’t know who the teen actually is, but the manager told them he’d let them know if he got the job.
