There is an old adage that says you should be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. It seems that the Democrats never learned that lesson. As the Trump/Russia collusion story was falling apart, the Democrats decided to create a distraction. They demanded that the Inspector General for the FBI investigate agaents who were biased against Hillary. The IG agreed to investigate. Much to the Democrat’s chagrin he didn’t find any such evidence, but they did find tweets on official government devices between Peter Strzok and his lover Lisa Page in which they exalted Hillary Clinton and dissed Donald Trump and they even discussed a plan to sabotage Trump that included Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Talk about being disappointed. But you know they should have known that if they found corruption, there would be a group of Democrats perpetrating it. Now, the butt hurt Democrats have opened a new front and are attacking Rod Rosenstein for releasing the tweets. (Sure, we’re kings of corruption but you don’t have to tell anyone) Do you have any doubt that the Democrats would have demanded the tweets be released if they would hurt President Trump?
From The Daily Caller
The pro-Clinton, anti-Trump messages were, ironically, discovered as part of an investigation into the DOJ and FBI launched by the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General (IG) in response to Democratic politicians demanding a probe into possible anti-Clinton bias at the FBI.
Democratic politicians and left-wing media have attacked Rosenstein’s credibility in response, claiming he should have blocked the messages’ release.
Democratic Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, one of the 58 reps to vote to impeach the president said:
“That there are people in the Department of Justice who apparently are cooperating with this effort to undermine the integrity and the strength of this special counsel investigation.”
“The key thing to understand is that all of those text messages are totally irrelevant.”
Raskin claimed that the tweets were just political opinions. Fake news. Read the following from Peter Strzok and tell me you don’t smell a conspiracy:
“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.
“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”
Sen Diane Feinstein added:
Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein told Mother Jones on Wednesday that the messages “are being used for propaganda purposes.” She added: “I think there’s an ongoing effort to malign both Bob Mueller and the work that that Special Counsel Office is doing. They are grabbing at every single thing to try to demean him.”
Here is what committee ranking member Elijah Cummings said about the investigation when he thought it would catch Republicans:
“In our committee one of the things that we say is that we have integrity, and of all the organizations that we have, the FBI is the one that we must have trusted.”
“And I think this investigation by the IG, I don’t know what it will reveal, but you know I think we need to go through that process, because if we’re not careful we will reach a crisis of legitimacy with regard to the very fabric of our country and the fabric–when I say the fabric, I’m talking about organizations like the CIA, FBI and others.”
They are singing another tune today. Be careful what you wish for………….
