A teacher gave police officers a false name when she was caught in a car with a half-naked teenager.
27-year-old Elizabeth Heaton Taylor of South Carolina was fired from her job as a track coach and biology teacher at the Greer High School in Greenville County.
Taylor has been charged with two counts of sexual battery of a student and giving false information to police.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies saw an SUV suspiciously parked near a building on Holland Road, around 6:30 p.m., on Thursday.
The deputies walked over to the car and saw Taylor with a partially nude student.
The deputies said that the student, who is between 16 and 17-years-old, told them that he participated in sexual acts with the teacher on at least two separate occasions.
The student gave the officers the teacher’s name that did not match the name they received from her.
Officers discovered that Taylor gave them a false name. She was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, where bail was set at $10,250.
