Elder Patriot – John Brennan has been politicizing information important to national security from his perch atop the CIA since he was appointed director. In a job that demands dispassionate and apolitical analysis, Brennan was nothing but political.
In September of 2015, Nancy Youssef and Shane Harris chronicled the story of 50 intelligence pros who claimed that their intelligence assessments had been doctored after they were filed:
More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al Qaeda’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials, The Daily Beast has learned.
The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence. The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the U.S. military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence.
“The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command,” one defense official said.
Two senior analysts at CENTCOM signed a written complaint sent to the Defense Department inspector general in July alleging that the reports, some of which were briefed to President Obama, portrayed the terror groups as weaker than the analysts believe they are. The reports were changed by CENTCOM higher-ups to adhere to the administration’s public line that the U.S. is winning the battle against ISIS and al Nusra, al Qaeda’s branch in Syria, the analysts claim.
Even if John Brennan wasn’t the one who altered the intelligence he was the person responsible for the integrity these reports and he allowed a culture of deception for political ends to take root.
This disregard for proper structure and handling of intelligence eventually led the the arrogant decision that they could steal an election.
Since being replaced as CIA director, Brennan has leveraged his ongoing security clearance to get a big payday from NBC, parent company of MSNBC as an analyst. From this position Brennan violated his privileged access to top secret intelligence.
By suggesting that “Russian President Vladimir Putin has something on Trump” and that “Trump is Putin’s puppet,” Brennan casts a large shadow over President Trump as a man supposedly in the know.
This is inappropriate in any situation but especially so considering he is sowing discord to try to save his bacon as well as that of the filthy corrupt inside the beltway swamp scum.
Trump was more than right to strip this traitorous wretch of his security clearance even if the only place it’ll hit him is in the pocketbook.
Brennan fired back via Twitter:
Brennan lies so much he doesn’t even realize he’s lying when he’s lying.
No one, least of all President Trump, is suppressing his free speech. Trump is limiting the damage he can do with access to that privileged information.
The only ones suppressing John Brennan’s voice are those of us who refuse to stop on MSNBC to watch him lie for even a single minute.
But this last line in Brennan’s tweet really takes the cake:
My principles are worth far more that clearances. I will not relent.
Once Brennan’s role in the Phony dossier – Russiagate scam is known he’ll relent because he’ll be forced to go into hiding.
One American hero, Benghazi survivor Kris “Tanto” Paronto fired back at Brennan.
Paronto had seen and heard enough from the man who tried turning him into a pariah following his heroic stand on the roof of a clandestine CIA outpost in Benghazi. Paronto and his team were left to die that night.
You may recall that the Obama administration sent National Security Adviser Susan Rice out to sell a fabricated story about a youtube video triggering the attack. The administration from Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were intent on keeping the truth from the American people.
Team Obama hadn’t been malfeasant that night, far from it. They had deliberately issued stand down orders to the men who were ready to effect the rescue and then lied about it.
When Paranto and the surviving members of his team returned they were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements and had their security clearances lifted.
Minimum standards of decency huh John?? Is that similar to the decency you had calling those who risked their lives to save your cowardly @CIA staffers in Libya liars??How about the decency you had when you suspended our Security clearances for the same?? You’re pathetic
John O. Brennan
It’s astounding how often you fail to live up to minimum standards of decency, civility, & probity. Seems like you will never understand what it means to be president, nor what it takes to be a good, decent, & honest person. So disheartening, so dangerous for our Nation. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1029329583672307712 …
Worse the NDA’s were thrust upon them during a memorial for their fallen comrades, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.
Let that sink in. These were bona fide American heroes whose voices were being silenced by John Brennan.
Brennan, of course, denied the allegations.
Via the Weekly Standard:
In a letter obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD earlier this fall 92013), CIA director John Brennan categorically denied claims that the CIA discouraged its operatives or contractors from speaking out about their experiences.
John Brennan has spent his entire career denying claims of his improper behavior. Blaming President Trump for the predicament he currently finds himself in is laughable.
Brennan was caught lying to the Senate about spying on them, lying about Benghazi, orchestratingthe counter espionage investigation into Donald Trump, purposely passing the story of the phony dossier to the Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, and recklessly and viciously trashing President Trump at every opportunity, among any number of other illegal manipulations of national intelligence.
If anybody should take the blame for John Brennan’s reckless disregard for the handling of America’s most precious intelligence, it should be the man who elevated Brennan to CIA director in the first place, B. Hussein Obama.
President Trump is rightly correcting a wrong.
