Three armed would-be invaders in Oklahoma picked the wrong home to try and rob as the homeowner inside was armed and successfully defended his home.
As Breitbart reports, the three armed suspects were caught on security cameras approaching the Broken Arrow home where they forcefully kicked the front door, attempting to enter the residency.
Shortly after, the homeowner acquired a gun of his own and opened fire at the suspects who were subsequently caught by the same camera fleeing the scene.
And, per ABC local news affiliate KTUL:
Three brazen suspects, with guns ready, try to get inside a house near South 145th East Avenue West Kenosha Street in Broken Arrow.
The homeowner asked not to be identified, worried the armed suspects might come back.
In the video, the crooks quickly run away as the homeowner fires a shot from inside.
“It’s not good to have those kinds of people around,” said Gina Wagner, a neighbor just a few doors down.
She says the idea of bad guys with guns has her on edge.
“I don’t like that at all,” said Wagner. “I won’t feel safe until they get that taken care of.”
Broken Arrow Police Department Officer James Koch suggested the would-be invaders may not have been seasoned criminals as they did not wear masks—a commonality among those who commit crimes—and they attempted the invasion in the middle of the day.
“The suspects were not wearing masks, which is uncommon,” said Koch. “It also happened in what appears to be broad daylight, which is also uncommon.”
“Everyone in the State of Oklahoma has a right to defend themselves inside their home,” Koch added.
The suspects have not yet been caught but police are reportedly grateful the situation did not include any fatalities.
