Kirsters Baish| Officials in Palestine have stated that a ceasefire agreement with Israel was mediated by Egypt on Monday to bring an end to the string of violence recently taking place in southern Israel and the Gaza Strip.

While the rest of the world is condemning the 600 rockets that Hamas and PIJ launched against Israeli innocent population, the Democratic representative Rashida Tlaib, who understands the situation in Palestine better than anyone else, explains how we all got this wrong.”

This is a stunningly irresponsible and misleading headline. Israel shot dozens of unarmed Palestinian protestors in Gaza on Friday and killed 4 Palestinians, including two protesters, in Gaza before any projectiles were launched.

Two Democratic congresswomen both suggested Israel is to blame for Sunday’s conflict between the Jewish state and Gazan militants.
Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib took issue with a New York Times story titled, “Gaza militants fire 250 rockets, and Israel responds with airstrikes.” Both reps. argued that the headline is misleading and suggests Israel was merely defending itself against militants.
Democratic Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar also pointed the finger at Israel for the problems, questioning, “How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends? The status quo of [Israeli] occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable … ”

The Daily Caller reports “The Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas is believed responsible for firing about 600 rockets at Israel over the weekend. Israel responded with about 260. The group has acknowledged killing three Israelis, according to The Jerusalem Post.”
