Guess Who The Daddy Is of The Girl BUSTED On Major Drug Charges, Then Let Right Out of Jail

A woman arrested on drug possession and trafficking charges may be the daughter of a Drug Enforcement Agency office.
Texas authorities arrested 19-year-old Sarah Furay after they found marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy in her apartment, KCEN-TV reports.

The probable cause statement for the incident said officers found 31.5 grams of packaged cocaine, 29 tablets of ecstasy, 126 grams of marijuana, 60 doses of a drug related to LSD and an unverified amount of methamphetamine.

Two digital scales, packaging material and a handwritten drug price list was also found in her bedroom. She was taken to Brazos County Jail on three counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession. Her bail was set $39,000, but she was released after having spent one day in custody.

Death and Taxes reports Furay to be the daughter of DEA agent Bill Furay, who has been with the agency since 2008.

Bill oversaw DEA operations to crack down on drug trafficking organizations in Texas.

The Houston Chronicle reported in 2010 Bill celebrated the success of an DEA operation, coded-named Agent Orange, which arrested 60 people reportedly associated with Mexico’s Sinaloa narcotics cartel.

In 2009, Bill boasted of the results of a two-year undercover joint investigation that dismantled a major drug trafficking organization in the Lake Jackson-Freeport area, according to ABC.

Bill is currently serving as the DEA’s diplomatic representative at the U.S. ambassador’s office in Panama City, Panama

Penalties for trafficking Schedule 1 and 2 drugs such as cocaine, LSD, methamphetamine and marijuana can carry decades of prison time, according to the DEA’s website.

The Drug Enforcement Agency has confirmed that a 19-year-old arrested for allegedly selling drugs is the daughter of a DEA agent, CBS affiliate KHOU reports.

College Station Police arrested Sarah Furay on Nov. 6, after obtaining a warrant to search her apartment. According to a police report, officers found more than 31 grams of packaged cocaine, 126 grams of high grade marijuana, 29 “ecstasy” tablets, methamphetamine and 60 doses of a drug similar to LSD.

Her father, Bill Furay, works as a supervisory special agent at the DEA’s Houston Division. He’s been with the agency for more than 20 years.

Bill Furay said the issue was a “personal matter” and declined to comment further, according to the station.

Sarah Furay gained notoriety after smiling during her booking photo. She faces three counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance and one count of drug possession, all of which are felony charges.

The College Station Police Department is handling all investigative matters related to the charges. CSPD was unavailable for comment as of Wednesday evening.

In a statement released to KAGS HD News, the agency’s public affairs officer, Barbara Carreno said, “the DEA confirmed that Sarah Furay, the daughter of DEA Special Agent Bill Furay, was arrested in College Station, TX on charges related to drug trafficking. The College Station Police Department is handling all investigative matters related to the charges. The Furay family is dealing with this private matter as best they can.”
