Joe Biden is looking very old lately, but that should not come as any surprise to anyone since he is an old man.
No, I am not saying this in a partisan way, but just stating the obvious.
Now, I am not the only one noticing Biden’s age, but many people in his own party are seeing the rapid decline.
The question that is being raised from those within the Democrat party is if Biden will be able to run again in 2024.
After all, Biden would be 81 years old in 2024, making him the oldest president we have ever had.
Coupling that anxiety is the potential defeat of the Democrats in the midterms considering the state of the nation currently.
At this point in time, inflation is sky high and the concerns for a recession are growing daily.
Also, Biden’s approval ratings haven’t recovered from a slump late last summer.
Some Democrats are now openly debating whether the party requires a different and younger leader in the upcoming presidential election.

Entrepreneur Andrew Yang, who faced off against Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2020 before deciding to run as an independent, told The Hill, “I expect that Joe will run again, and his age will be a valid concern for many people.”
Even before he might run for a second term, “Joe is already the oldest president we’ve had,” he declared. More proof of the preoccupation with age comes from polls. In a recent Harvard-Harris Poll survey, 62 percent of participants felt that Biden is “demonstrating that he is too elderly to be president.”
Last Thursday, Mark Leibovich of The Atlantic wrote an article with the following introduction: “Let me say it plainly: Joe Biden shouldn’t seek reelection in 2024. He’s far too old.
The conservative editorial board of The Wall Street Journal responded on Sunday with this scathing assessment: “The truth is that the President indicated he had lost a linguistic, and perhaps mental, step in the first Democratic candidate debate of 2019. He has not changed.
Other polls, which don’t specifically address the president’s age, deliver similarly dismal results for Team Biden. According to a YouGov and Yahoo poll released this week, 64% of those surveyed said they did not want Biden to run for president again. One Democratic strategist admitted, speaking anonymously to address a delicate subject, “Look, it’s a problem.”
Everyone agrees that he is an old man, but they don’t want to bring it up in case they offend him or those around him.
Biden “looks elderly and seems old and that’s not a nice look for the White House,” according to a Biden loyalist who routinely speaks to White House staffers. This person believes that stamina is a more crucial factor than age.
Biden has publicly declared that he will run for president if his health is good. According to The Hill, he privately delivered the same advice to former President Obama.
Yang argued that Biden or Trump would win the election. There isn’t a definite hero the Democrats can look to. Who wins a contentious, competitive primary? Nobody is aware. After Trump declares, I believe Democrats will choose continuity and unity.
