The new owners of CNN are determined to somehow resurrect the dying news network back to life.
It seems hard to believe that the new owners of CNN want to ditch the partisan “reporting” and get back to actual news.
It is hard to believe but there was a time that CNN was a well-respected news network that focused on actual reporting and investigative journalism.
However, over the years that changed and they became an extension of the liberal agenda.
Sadly, their plans to overhaul CNN back to its former glory days have been rocky.
In fact, instead of the ratings at CNN getting any better they are getting worse.
So, what’s going wrong?
In order to understand what is happening at CNN, we will have to look back a few years.
If you remember, back in 2015/2016 the media pundits were talking non-stop about Donald Trump as he faced Hillary Clinton in the general election.
Then, Trump beat ole’ Hillary and things became very real.
Trump was actually in charge, beating Hillary Clinton.
Stage 5 TDS quickly swept through newsrooms all across the country and everyone’s professional reputations went down the drain.
Seriously, it was shocking to see the media’s reputation crumble like a stale cookie.
It became like a drug, and they had to keep pushing harder and going more anti-Trump, in order to keep chasing that high.
And as a result of this misguided hysteria, many “resist characters” emerged — and most of them came from CNN, which was a proud leader in the movement to stop Trump.
Jim Acosta, Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, and others, all became the “faces” of the Trump resistance.
And now, here we are, years later, under new CNN’s leadership, and things are actually worse.
HGTV and The Food Network are beating CNN in the prime-time ratings.
During the day, TNT is beating them.
It’s bad…

The New York Post reported that CNN’s new boss has brought even worse results.
Cable news giant CNN has seen its viewership fall in recent weeks under the helm of newly installed network president Chris Licht, according to the latest Nielsen ratings.
CNN’s viewership dipped during the month of June compared to the previous month — despite the network’s intensive coverage of the ongoing House committee hearings into the Jan. 6, 2021 riots at the US Capitol.
In June, CNN’s primetime lineup drew 654,000 total viewers on average per night. Of those viewers, just 148,000 are between the ages of 25 and 54 — the key demographic that is most coveted by advertisers.
The numbers represent a 1% drop compared to May, according to The Daily Beast.
CNN’s daytime lineup is also hemorrhaging viewers, the latest data shows.
The audience tuning in to the network shrank 3% month-over-month in June to 487,000 total viewers per day — as well as 2% to 104,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic.
So, what gives?
The news network has done a lot of damage to the country and people are still angry.
For six years, the media pundits on CNN have been calling everyone who voted for Donald Trump racist, bigoted, hateful people.
Do they really think that just cause they want to change that everyone will come flooding back to the network?
The only way to get people to come back is to offer a sincere apology.
CNN needs to come out and acknowledge all the fake news and biased reporting they did and apologize to the American people for it.
They need to wipe the slate clean before they can move on.
This is one of those incidents where the brand was so badly damaged that it needs to be publicly acknowledged before any “rebuilding” can begin.
Then, they need to replace every single person that was the face of the Trump-hating movement and bring in brand new people.
If they do those two things, CNN has a good chance of making a comeback.
If they don’t, nobody will take them seriously and they’ll continue to crater.
