After being recorded on camera dragging a student through a classroom doorway and removing the girl’s shirt, a teacher at a Salem alternative school was put on leave.
A source that sent in the video, which showed the Roberts Annex teacher, identified as Mrs. Carrie McCann, reprimanding a 15-year-old student. She then grabbed the girl from behind and pulled her back into the classroom when she tried to leave.
In the process, the teacher tore the girl’s shirt off, exposing only her bra in front of the students in the room. During the incident, the girl cries, “Get the f—- off me! I cannot be in here… I’m so stressed out,” and her classmates can be heard gasping in shock. She then starts crying and requests everyone to turn away.
When a media outlet spoke with the girl, sophomore Sara Rue, and her father, they both expressed a desire for the video to be made public.

The student told the news outlet that she needed to leave the room because she was having a panic attack as a result of a dispute between the teacher and the students.
“I opened the door. I was already out of the classroom, and she decided to wrap her arm around my neck, pull me back into the classroom. My sweatshirt came off – the entire thing came off – and the whole class saw me naked. And after that, I just started crying hysterically. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life,” she told the station.

According to school officials, police were summoned to make a complaint about a possible criminal case. The teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave as a result of the incident and the ensuing web video’s viral status.
A representative of the Salem-Keizer School District confirmed that the event took place on Thursday, October 21, 2016, at the Roberts Literacy Center. Carrie McCann was listed as a literacy support instructor at Roberts Annex.
According to Jay Remy of the Salem-Keizer School District, “The teacher is on paid administrative leave, which is not discipline or an indication of guilt, It’s just a status we put people on when we’re investigating.”
