If you were around in the ’90s and 2000s, then Leelee Sobieski‘s face is one that you’ll definitely recognize. Sobieski got her start as a child star in the ’90s, and has starred in many hits throughout her career such as Jungle 2 Jungle, Never Been Kissed, and Eyes Wide Shut. By the time she was in her teens, Sobieski‘s star seemed unstoppable — but as the new millennium rolled in, Sobieski‘s acting roles began to dwindle. After a while, the actress disappeared from Hollywood altogether, leaving people to wonder where she’d gone.
The New York native – whose real name is Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta ‘Leelee’ Sobieski – worked with all the recent main males within the movie enterprise together with Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut, Josh Hartnett in Heaven On Earth, and Paul Walker on Joy Ride.

Though we selfishly hope a project will someday draw her back into the world of TV and film, we’re delighted to see that Leelee Sobieski is thriving out of the public eye.
Sobieski began dating fashion designer Adam Kimmel in January 2009. The couple became engaged in May of 2009 when fans spotted her wearing an engagement ring at the premiere of Public Enemies. They announced their marriage later that year.
Sobieski gave birth to her first daughter, Louisanna Ray, in December of 2009. In 2014, her son Martin was born. The family lives in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where Leelee continues her work as an artist and Adam Kimmel is enjoying a second career, after fashion design, as the WeWork creative designer. She credits her kids, mostly, with her early retirement from acting:
“I am just focused on my kids. I think that’s mainly why I stopped.” She details a pretty normal-sounding mom life: her days consist of “buying milk, cleaning something, making some decision, reading weird baby blogs, worrying I disciplined in the wrong way.”
