Here we go again, another food plant is on fire. Three-alarm fires, to be precise. This time, it happened in Connecticut, at one of the largest egg farms in the United States. There have been a lot of fires at food processing plants recently.
However, don’t worry, the “fact checkers” say there’s nothing to worry about, everything is normal, and these fires are nothing out of the ordinary. Isn’t it strange that the only “real concerns” are left-wing issues like climate change, racism, 68 genders, and the Russia hoax? Anything else you mention is quickly labeled as a “conspiracy theory.”
So, this is America, and we’re still allowed to talk about alternative “endings,” right? Or has the regime made that illegal as well?
In any case, it does seem strange that eggs are so expensive right now, and that radical left-wing communist publications and kooks like Bill Gates are telling us we should give up eggs and eat some gross chemical substitute instead, and then a three-alarm fire breaks out at a massive egg farm.
Isn’t it starting to feel like this?

Crews battled a massive 3-alarm fire at an egg farm in Bozrah.
Officials said the fire was at Hillandale Farms on Schwartz Road.
Officials say a 400′x50′ chicken coop was lost, but another 13 chicken coops were saved during the fire.
The Salvation Army Canteen One is on the scene providing Grilled Cheese and soup.
Around 100,000 chickens may have died in the fire, according to the Salvation Army.
In total, 21 fire departments responded to the fire. Firefighters were on the scene for 8 hours on Saturday battling the blaze.
No injuries have been reported.
The smoke from the fire could be seen from miles away.

Back in 2013, NPR wrote a story about how Bill Gates was investing in “egg alternatives.”
The egg of the future may not involve a chicken at all. In fact, in the high-tech food lab at Hampton Creek Foods in San Francisco, the chicken-less egg substitute has already been hatched.
“We’re trying to take the animal totally out of the equation,” Josh Tetrick, founder and CEO of Hampton Creek Foods, told me.
Hampton Creek’s egg substitute product is called Beyond Eggs. It’s made from bits of ground-up peas, sorghum and a few other ingredients, and it’s attracting the attention of high-tech investors including Bill Gates.
If you listen to my story on All Things Considered, you’ll hear that it’s pretty hard to distinguish between cookies made with Beyond Eggs and those made traditionally with real eggs. The company has also developed an eggless mayonnaise and salad dressing using its egg substitute.
And why does this matter? Well, investors like Gates are betting that our planet can’t sustain the current rate of growth in animal-based foods for too much longer.
In 2000, the global demand for eggs was about 14 million tons, according to the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization. By 2030, that’s expected to climb to 38 million tons.
