Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has been a vocal opponent of the corrupt government-lobbying pipeline in Washington, DC.
Gaetz attacked a senior partner at the Raben Group, a progressive lobbying firm that represents clients like Google, Pfizer, and the Soros-run Open Society Foundation, during a Congressional hearing this week.
The explosive hearing was the first of many for the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, which was formed to investigate how federal government agencies are used to target conservatives.
The revolving door’ between Department of Justice officials and lobbyists, according to Gaetz, has played a key role in the weaponization of our federal government.
Gaetz cited a recent Project Veritas expose‘ on Pfizer’s gain-of-function research in which a Director of Research and Development admitted that the company is mutating the Covid-19 virus as one example involving both Google and Pfizer.
Following lucrative government contracts to research and manufacture the Covid-19 vaccine, Pfizer and other pharmaceutical companies have made record profits. Google has repeatedly censored news organizations that have attempted to investigate Pfizer, such as Project Veritas.
The committee’s first hearing featured testimony from Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), as well as testimony from Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) on the Department of Justice and FBI corruption.

Gaetz tore into a witness who works for a progressive public relations and strategy firm at House Republicans’ first “weaponization” subcommittee hearing on Thursday. The inaugural hearing aired out the GOP panel’s grievances over the alleged politicization of federal agencies such as the Department of Justice.
He asked Elliot Williams, a principal at the Raben Group and former DOJ employee during the Obama administration if the “revolving door” between government officials and lobbyists was a valid cause for concern. Williams said he didn’t understand the premise of the question.
“It’s pretty easy — there’s a revolving door between senior officials at the DOJ and the lobbying profession,” Gaetz responded, pointing out that the Raben Group’s client list includes Google, Pfizer, and the Open Society Foundations, which is backed by left-wing donor George Soros. House Republicans accuse outside actors of colluding with the federal government to stifle or oppose conservatives.
