Things aren’t looking good for Hunter Biden and his legal team. There is a lot of chaos, dissent, and infighting going on. So much so that his most powerful defense attorney abruptly resigned.
According to Newsmax, Joshua Levy, a prominent, high-powered criminal defense lawyer, ended his attorney-client relationship with Hunter Biden after “unease and dissent” reportedly plagued the president’s son’s legal defense team.
According to The New York Times, Levy was hired to work on opposing congressional investigations into the Biden family’s business schemes, which involved President Joe Biden, brother Jim Biden, and son Hunter Biden.
According to the Times, Levy resigned from Hunter Biden’s case due to infighting with Hunter Biden’s legal team, specifically with Abbe Lowell, who was reportedly hired in December to defend the Bidens from nine congressional investigations, including wire fraud and money laundering.
Previously, Lowell represented other high-profile figures embroiled in political scandals, including former President Bill Clinton and former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
Also, Lowell was part of the legal team that sent “litigation hold” letters to Rudy Giuliani, Tony Bobulinski, and 12 others on behalf of Hunter Biden last month, in order to preserve records from his infamous “laptop from hell.”
As a result, Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III project, described the litigation-hold strategy to Breitbart News as “desperate, frivolous, and laughable,” because the move would likely jeopardize the Biden family’s legal position because the lawsuit “will lead to discovery,” a legal process in which Hunter Biden would be deposed on camera.
According to the Times, Levy’s relationship with the rest of Hunter Biden’s defense team may have been strained as a result of this strategy.
