As we all know, the United States is facing an array of threats from foreign nations, particularly Russia and China. And I must say, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Joe Biden’s handling of these threats has been weak and ineffective.
Recently, some concerning news has emerged about the Russian navy’s expansion of naval assets. It’s not just the Black Sea and the Mediterranean that they’re expanding into, they’re also present in seas surrounding the United States. Even more worrisome, nuclear-capable submarines in the Severodvinsk class have been spotted off the coasts of the US.
U.S. Air Force Gen. Glen VanHerck warned last October that “They just moved subs, their first [Severodvinsk submarine] into the Pacific…That will be a persistent, proximate threat capable of carrying a significant number of land-attack cruise missiles that can threaten our homeland.”
And Michael Peterson, the director of the Russia Maritime Studies Institute (RMSI), warned that “Nuclear-powered submarines have been deploying off the coast of the United States and into the Mediterranean and elsewhere along Europe periphery,” echoing the Soviet-style submarine deployments of the Cold War.
Russia’s navy is one of the strongest submarine forces in the world, particularly in its ability to leverage nuclear capability as a deterrent. And even Vladimir Putin himself warned in December that the nuclear sub-program “will ensure Russia’s security for decades to come.”
But despite these warnings, President Biden has yet to take any concrete action to address the Russian threat. Instead, his administration has remained largely passive, neither responding nor escalating the situation. This is concerning, as it suggests that the Biden administration is not taking the threat of foreign powers seriously and is leaving our nation vulnerable to attack.
Now, I know some of you may be thinking that we need to go to war to address this threat. But thanks to the Democrats’ woke ideologies infiltrating the US military and just general nonsensical distractions caused by the left, I don’t think now is the time for that.
What we need is strong and strategic leadership to relieve these tensions and protect our nation. And sadly, this administration just doesn’t cut it. It’s time for President Biden to wake up and take action before it’s too late.
