A shocking attempted abduction took place at Beankini Espresso Auburn, a Seattle suburb drive-thru coffee shop. A truck driver pulled up to the window and attempted to abduct the bikini-clad barista who was serving him coffee. The man was thwarted in his attempt by the brave and quick thinking of the young woman, who was able to fight him off and escape.

Police were able to track down the suspect thanks to his unique “Chevrolet” tattoo and the ample evidence linking him to the attempted abduction, which included security camera footage of the man attempting to abduct the young woman. He was arrested on suspicion of attempting to abduct the young woman at the drive-thru window and taken into custody.

The victim of the attempted abduction has worked at the coffee shop for nine years and has described the man’s attack as a “random act” unrelated to anything else. The coffee shop is female-owned and operated and prioritizes the safety of its employees. To that end, the coffee shop is equipped with a panic button and a metal door to keep intruders out.

Additionally, staff who work in their underwear serving coffee to thirsty customers are allowed to carry mace and tasers to defend themselves.

Auburn Police Department spokesperson Kolby Crossley acknowledged that the baristas at drive-thru coffee shops are in vulnerable positions because they’re usually working alone in the early hours of the morning when it’s dark outside. However, Crossley praised the barista for doing an “awesome job of protecting herself and fighting this person off.”

The suspect was arrested after the police received “overwhelming support from the community,” who wanted the suspected abductor behind bars to keep other women safe. Security footage of the incident shows the man attempting to abduct the young woman by grabbing her arm and trying to pull her through the drive-thru window. The young woman fought back and was able to free herself from the abductor. The suspect fled the scene in his Chevy Silverado after the young woman was able to break free from his grasp.

Beankini Espresso Auburn is known for its sexy baristas that serve coffee in lingerie and bikinis. The company is female-owned and operated and is committed to providing a safe working environment for its employees. The coffee shop is equipped with security measures that include surveillance cameras, a panic button, and a metal door to keep intruders out. In addition, employees are permitted to carry mace and tasers to defend themselves.

The young woman who was attacked has praised her employer’s support and security measures.

She told the Daily Mail, “Our owner allows us to shut the window on any customer and handle every situation in the way we feel comfortable. We are allowed to refuse service to anyone for any reason.”

In this case, the young woman was able to fight off her attacker and protect herself, but the incident has highlighted the vulnerability of workers in drive-thru coffee shops and the need for increased security measures to protect them.
