Donald Trump has been announcing his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 for months.
Surprisingly, Joe Biden, widely expected to be the Democratic nominee in the race, has not done the same, passing up numerous opportunities to launch his 2024 campaign.
In an interview with top-rated Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson on Tuesday, Trump shared his thoughts on a possible reason for Biden’s hesitation, and it’s one that many Democrats would agree with.
Carlson addressed Trump about a hypothetical rematch during the conversation.
Trump’s response was remarkably polite, given how the Biden administration has insulted both Trump personally and the country as a whole, but the message was very clear:
Trump claimed that Biden couldn’t make it through a campaign because of his bad performance as president.

Carlson asked Trump, “Do you think Biden will stay in the race?”
Trump answered, apparently choosing his words carefully.
“Look, I watch him just like you do, and I think it’s almost inappropriate for me to say it. I don’t see how it’s possible,” he said. “There’s something wrong.”
Trump does not define what he means by “there’s something wrong,” but it’s clear he’s talking about Biden’s obvious cognitive decline.
Continuing the thought, Trump referred to a rambling statement Biden made at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. One thing Biden let slip to interviewer Al Roker was “I plan on running, Al, but we’re not prepared to announce it yet.”
Trump said to Carlson, “I saw his answer today, on television, about whether or not he was going to run to a very nice guy named Al Roker. I mean you can’t get a softer question than that.
“That was a long answer, talking about the eggs and the this and that. Look, I don’t think he can,” Trump concluded.

Trump acknowledged what he and the rest of the world saw during Biden’s appearances. There is serious doubt about Biden’s ability to run a successful campaign.
This isn’t 2020 when Biden could hide in his basement while Democratic surrogates and the establishment media performed his dirty work for him.
Biden’s presidency has been tarnished by several shows of incoherence, incompetence, and inappropriate behavior. Many Americans believe Biden is unfit to serve as president and that the office is being directed by mysterious controllers.
Democrats are also concerned. According to Fox News, a Monmouth University poll conducted in late March revealed that 44 percent of voters in Biden’s own party believe he should not seek for re-election. Only a quarter of those polled believed he should.
Biden makes so many significant gaffes that they are no longer surprised. It’s difficult to picture Biden becoming president and running for re-election at the same time without his performance deteriorating considerably further. That appears to be Trump’s expectation.
Posobiec, on the other hand, believes Democrats will run Biden regardless of how humiliating he is.

We’re in an odd scenario as we approach 2024 and still don’t know if the incumbent first-term president will run again.
It’s difficult to believe Biden will remain president for another five years.
Worse, the United States is unlikely to survive another Biden presidency.
