Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, is an ineffective leader.
He utilizes a favorite Democrat defensive strategy, calling anyone who disagrees with him racist, to make up for that mistake.
An elderly woman questioned Adams about rent rises in the city at a recent town hall.
Adams, who evidently didn’t appreciate the woman’s tone, attacked her by likening her to a slave plantation owner:
“Treat me with the respect I deserve since I am the mayor of this city. Adams said, “I’m speaking to you as an adult.”
He continued: “Don’t stand in front like you treated someone that’s on the plantation that you own.”
That took no time at all…
Adams immediately played the racial card.
But there was just one issue.
The 84-year-old woman and her parents reportedly left Europe during the Nazi takeover.

The New York Post reported on the incident:
The woman who Mayor Eric Adams compared to a plantation owner during a fiery town hall exchange on Wednesday is a decades-long tenants advocate who’s lived in New York City since she and her parents left Europe fleeing from the Nazis.
During a townhall in at the Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Mathematics in Washington Heights, Dubnau interrupted Mayor Adams and accused him of responsibility for the Rent Guidelines Board voting to allow landlords to hike rent on rent-stabilized apartments up to 6 percent.
Adams asked Dubnau to stand up so he could hear her better, then insisted he “does not control the [Rent] Guidelines Board.”
Now on her feet, Dubnau shouted that the mayor had previously voiced his support for the rent increases while vigorously pointing her finger at him.
A clearly perturbed Adams responded “First, if you’re going to ask a question, don’t point at me, and don’t be disrespectful to me.”
“I’m the mayor of this city and treat me with the respect that I deserve to be treated. I’m speaking to you as an adult.
“Don’t stand in front like you treated someone that’s on the plantation that you own.”
Eric Adams was offended by the way a woman asked him a question.

In a phone interview with Forward, Dubnau said she “was born in Brussels after her parents fled Nazi Germany. They managed to survive the war in France in hiding and ‘were lucky enough to come here,’ to the U.S., sponsored by her mother’s uncle.”
Dubnau has more than 40 years advocation for low income NYers of all races as Co-Founder of the Riverside Edgecombe Neighborhood Association .
Just leave it to Democrats to use race-baiting tactics to make their points.
