According to reports, Taylor Swift gave out sizable bonus checks to truckers who were transporting the Eras tour concert equipment throughout the nation as the superstar’s sold-out tour was coming to an end with only six gigs left in the country.
Prior to Saturday’s performance in Santa Clara, California, sources tell TMZ that the 33-year-old pop sensation gave $100,000 bonus checks to each of the 50 “The Eras Tour” drivers.
The tour, which began in Glendale, Arizona, in March and will culminate on August 9 in Los Angeles at SoFi stadium, has kept the truck drivers busy transporting all the equipment for more than 20 performances spread across 20 cities.
In advance of the start of Swift’s international leg of the tour, which begins August 24 in Mexico City, sources told the publication that the six-figure bonus checks were a “end of the tour” bonus for production truck drivers who had been transporting Taylor’s equipment for the length of her U.S. tour.

Not only truckers apparently received sizable bonus cheques deemed to be “very generous.” Other alleged winners included musicians, dancers, lighting and sound specialists, caterers, and more; according to People magazine, the total amount of bonus checks from the “All Too Well” hitmaker was over $55 million.
With sales of $1 billion, the tour has been a success for the performer and has qualified the “Shake It Off” hitmaker for the title of “highest-grossing tour of all time,” according to TMZ.
Swift’s extensive tour includes a journey for Swifties through her career and life’s records. She performs a 44-song set list, belting out the lyrics for more than 3 hours straight with little to no breaks.
A few examples of opening performers for the Eras tour are Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.
The “Delicate” singer announced in November that she would resume touring after the COVID outbreak forced her to postpone her 2020 “Love Fest” mini-tour.
