In Memphis, Tennessee, a striking woman by the name of Phi has attracted considerable attention on TikTok for having a family of eleven children with eight different fathers. Her unconventional lifestyle has earned her a substantial following on TikTok, which has been collecting data from its American users since its early days.
On TikTok, Phi frequently shares glimpses into her large family’s life, garnering a following of more than 90,000 users.

However, not all of the attention has been positive. Some TikTok users have accused Phi of exploiting government assistance programs in Tennessee, claiming that she turns to TikTok because she “doesn’t want to work” and is “living off child support” from the eight men who fathered her children.
To counter these accusations, Phi revealed a court document that demonstrated her child support payments were a mere ten dollars per month, as the fathers of her children were not financially stable or employed in well-paying jobs.

In response to another TikTok user’s suggestion that her children were “in distress,” Phi shared a video of her eleven children dancing and enjoying themselves as a way to prove otherwise. When asked where she found the men who fathered her children, Phi candidly responded, “Craigslist.”
She further explained, “I used Craigslist, but that’s kind of played out now, so I usually post on [Facebook] Marketplace. Or if I see an empty billboard, I’ll post an ad up there.”
At one point, Phi playfully teased her followers by saying she wanted to have nineteen more children, bringing the total to an even thirty. However, it was clear she was only joking. In August, Phi decided to address the question many of her TikTok followers had been pondering: Why did she choose to have so many children with different men? The video attracted over 2.9 million views.

In the video, Phi explained her rationale behind having multiple fathers for her children, saying that she didn’t want her children to be “fatherless.”
She said, “One thing I’m sick of having to explain is why I have eight baby daddies. I’m gonna explain this one time for y’all so there won’t be any more questions. If you have one and you take away one, you have zero. But if you have eight and you take away three, you still have five.”
Expanding on her reasoning in the video’s comments section, Phi added, “If I only had one baby daddy and he leaves or dies, my kids would be fatherless, but if I have eight and three were to leave or die, my kids still have five dads.”
