A Nashville adolescent has faced familial violence as a result of his conversion from Islam to Christianity. Three members of his family have been arrested on domestic violence and assault with deadly weapon charges as a result of the event.
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call for a welfare check at a property on December 11 after the victim’s employer expressed concerns, according to Fox 17.
The young man, whose identity is being withheld owing to his juvenile status, reportedly experienced violent attacks from his immediate relatives after reporting his religious faith shift.
When the police arrived, they discovered the kid with clear symptoms of maltreatment. According to the arrest warrant, the victim recalled his mother, brother, and father constantly punching and spitting on him.
According to the police report, his mother intensified the assault by scratching the back of his right hand with a knife.
The victim reportedly informed police that throughout the assault, his relatives asked that he abandon his Christian beliefs and reclaim his Muslim identity.
This trauma continued until police intervened, at which point the youngster was stated to be in shock, trembling, and in serious need of medical assistance.
John Kadum (46) and Nick Kadum (29) were arrested and charged with domestic violence and bodily harm. Rawaa Khawaji (57), on the other hand, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Following the upsetting episode, the trio was apprehended, with no further occurrences reported.
