Dunkin Donuts Just Annouced They Are Closing HUNDREDS Of Locations

It used to be that you could throw a rock from a moving vehicle on any major street or highway and there was more than a fair chance that said rock would hit a Dunkin Donuts.

I had family that lived in Chicago, and sometimes during the summers as a child, I would go visit.

There was a Dunkin Donuts a block away from their house in every direction. For a kid in his early teens, it was great.

As I got older, I began to rely on the place for my coffee fix when I was on the road on long car trips. It got to the point where on a trip from Michigan to Virginia, I could tell you how many Dunkin Donuts locations there were on the highway.

Now it seems that over the past several years the places where a Dunkin once proudly stood ready to give you hot coffee and delicious donuts have all gone away.

I remember when I was visiting Michigan about seven years ago for a family function.

One of my uncles from out of state who drinks their coffee exclusively wanted to take a drive with me to the nearest Dunkin from where we were, which at the time should have been about fifteen miles away.

When I told him that I looked it up and that the location was closed, he asked me where the nearest one. The look on his face when I told him we would have to drive for three hours for that was something out of a movie. It was hilariously funny.

That being said, for a million different reasons they have been losing locations, but it seems that the most recent announcement of closures might be a sign that selling someone a stale donut might be the least of their worries.

The donut giant recently announced that they are going to be closing somewhere close to five hundred locations across the continental United States. This is something that is not exclusive to this particular company.

Thanks to the Biden Administration’s overreach when it came to enforcing COVID-era regulations, countless chains have been forced to close up shop or significantly downsize.

It’s sad because coffee in one way or another is a staple of American life. We might joke about some places having a six-dollar cup of coffee but for some hardworking Americans that one coffee might be the luxury they afford themselves once in a while.

It’s also sad because each one of these Dunkin Donuts locations will employ several people to literally make the donuts. Yet another case of Joe Biden costing Americans their jobs.
