Gun Free Zones

Recent events showed the failure of gun control. Anti-gun politicians make public speeches and blamed anyone but themselves. Gun owners and the NRA are their chosen scapegoats.

The gun free zone policy actually enabled the murder of nine young people, and the LIBERAL solution is MORE gun control?!

You can try to do what Australia did and…ban all guns? That’s not at all what they did, but whatever. Go big or go home for a Gun-Free America, right?

When we allow so-called ‘gun free zones’ to go unchecked, we put EVERY PERSON who enters those ‘gun free zones’ in danger.

The gunman probably knew that the facility was a gun free facility, which is an easy target for cowardly individuals…

Residents in Roseberg, Oregon, are rallying around the Second Amendment in the wake of the heinous attack on Umpqua Community College…

People lie to get what they want in life, and that means people lie to facilitate committing violent crimes. Throw in mental illness and what do you expect? One out of ten Americans is on a legal, doctor prescribed mental health medication.

Will this send a strong enough message to future shooters in gun free zones where they know they will be the only one carrying a gun? Hardly. But there is an effective deterrent to keep dirt bags for murdering.

If “Gun Free Zone” laws really made zones gun-free, we’d need “Knife Free,” “Rock Free,” “Flame Free,” and “Disparity-In-Size-and-Strength Free” zones.

Pratt explains how gun control is failing to stop massacres in other countries from occurring and lays out several of the threats to our gun rights here at home.

GOA’s Erich Pratt discusses the Chattanooga shooting. Did an armed serviceman deliver the killing bullet that stopped the Chattanooga terrorist gunman? Pratt discusses this and other questions such as: Have there been would-be massacres that were stopped by armed civilians; what are the chances (and the strategy) for passing legislation to repeal gun free zones; …

While on active duty I was never involved in the military recruiting process. I attended instructor training school in the same building that the Air Force trained their new recruiters in. Every day we got to hear the recruiters-in-training shout at the beginning of class “boy am I enthusiastic.” This was an artificial way to …

A year and a half ago, I wrote about the illegal “No Weapons” signs at rest stops in Alabama.  The Alabama Department of Transportation doubled down and declared the signs legal … because.  Yesterday afternoon, Friday, the 24th of July, 2015, Governor Bentley stepped up to the plate and ordered the signs taken down.  From …

Details from Chattanooga: Evidence now suggests that at least one heroic Marine, armed with a personally-owned handgun (courageously and contemptuously ignoring stupid Pentagon “rules”) returned the heavily-armed terrorist’s fire at the Chattanooga Reserve Center, doubtless preventing an even bigger massacre. “The FBI says a military service member opened fire on the Chattanooga gunman after he …

Once again, a tragic shooting — this time at the two military locations in Chattanooga, Tennessee — has gripped the nation. And here at Gun Owners of America, our thoughts and prayers are for the families of the victims. Sadly, the Brady Campaign announced — just hours after the shooting — that this massacre requires …

In Wake of Attacks, Gov. Fallin Authorizes Adjutant General to Arm Full-Time Military Personnel. Governor Mary Fallin today authorized Oklahoma’s adjutant general, Maj. Gen. Robbie L. Asher, to arm full-time personnel at installations like the military facilities that were attacked Thursday in Chattanooga, Tenn. “Four unarmed Marines were killed in what appears to be a …

Targets Of Islamic Extremism Should Be Able To Be Armed Like Every Other American. Move America Forward, the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization says it is time to end the ridiculous policy of denying military men and women the opportunity to defend themselves in the United States against Islamic extremists. “In the wake of another …
