Baba Vanga, a blind fortune-teller, made some scary predictions about World War III that have shined the imagination of conspiracy devotee. Her visions have also foreshadowed the very first African American President of the United States, as well as the rise of Islamic activism in Europe.
The blind Nostradamus, born in Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova who died in breast cancer at age 85 in 1996, is alleged to have made hundreds of predictions about the future of humanity, with an 85 percent accuracy rate, from her home in Petrich, Bulgaria.
She also predicted the showdown in Syria where “Muslims would use chemical warfare against Europeans” and the demise of the US president.
The persistent threats of nuclear war batted back and forth between North Korean and American administrations and the wild global climate of recent months are part of her prophecies.
Vanga is skilled in eloquent vagaries and nonchalant paradox. She foretold that, “the world would be ravaged by war and transformed into a ‘wasteland almost entirely devoid of any form of life’.”
She also mentioned her own (unconfirmed) second sight when predicting that most people would die of skin cancer from chemical weapons – a horrific proposition that have compared to the recent gas attack in Syria.
Some also believe she predicted global warming when she foresaw ‘cold regions will become warm … and volcanoes will awaken’.
Vanga’s followers say she predicted the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. In a strange leap, some have even said that she predicted Brexit when she said Europe, as we know it, would ‘cease to exist’.
She said: “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds.
Some claim that the “steel birds” represent the planes that were crashed into the Twin Towers, causing “innocent blood” to be lost.
Moreover, Baba warned than assassination attempts on four heads of states in 2010 would become one of the causes for the start of World War III.
Some dismissed this prediction as incorrect as the heads of state believed to refer to Obama, Sarkozsky, Netanyahu, Vladimir Putin and Gordon Brown. However, observers note that Hamas leader Mahmúd al-Mabhouh was assassinated in Dubai on January 19, 2010 and Polish leader Lech Kaczynski was found dead in suspicious circumstances on April 10, 2010.
