The RINOs are getting as bad as the liberals, but that is not surprising since they are two sides of the same coin. Rep. Scott Taylor (R) VA allegedly threatened NumbersUSA, a pro-American immigration-reform group with a bomb threat, which he denies making. Former supporters of Taylor’s are withdrawing their support for him and he already has at least one primary challenger for 2018 because of his pro-amnesty stand. Taylor was one of 34 RINOs who signed a letter demanding that over 3 million illegal aliens receive full and unconditional amnesty.
According to BigLeaguePolitics.com:
A source close to NumbersUSA told Big League Politics that Rep. Scott Taylor called NumbersUSA’s office last Friday “screaming profanities at them” … The source claimed that NumbersUSA did “nothing else” to agitate Taylor, merely sent around the letter.
On Wednesday, Rep. Taylor called again “asking for their physical address and threatened to blow up their offices,” according to the source. Multiple sources close to NumbersUSA confirmed the statement on the phone call.
Breitbart contacted Taylor’s office, where Scott Weldon, Taylor’s aide said, “No. Never happened.”
Evidently, Taylor learned nothing from the defeat of former Va Rep Eric Cantor’s defeat a few years back for also backing mass amnesty. At the time, Cantor was the number 2 man in the House.. He was beaten by a landlide in a primary won by Rep Dave Brat. Taylor and the other 33 RINOs said they do not want any conditions on the amnesty bill and that they would address those issues later. Amnesty was granted in 1986-1997-1998-2000, with all of them allegedly allowing for conditions to be set at a later time. I’m sure you won’t be surprised when you learn that none of those amnesties ever led to conditions to be set later.
Rosemary Jenks, political director for NumbersUSA said:
“He was just very angry from the get-go and expected we would do what he wanted us to do, and we didn’t, and so he was angrier.”
“Many members of Congress don’t understand the immigration issue [and] they think they can take what they see as a nice position or an easy position and get away with it, but it does not work that way.”
Taylor’s letter reads:
We write in support of passing of a permanent legislative solution for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients before the end of the year … We must pass legislation that protects DACA recipients from deportation and gives them the opportunity to apply for a more secured status in our country as soon as possible. Reaching across the aisle to protect DACA recipients before the holidays is the right thing to do.
The letter isn’t clear on who is the party across the aisle, the Republicans or the Democrats. The best guess is Republicans, since the Democrats are for unlimited immigration.
