“People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones,” is a proverb that you’re probably familiar with.
So perhaps some individuals ought to heed that counsel.
According to the New York Post, Unilever, the company that owns Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, has seen its stock price and market valuation fall as a result of Ben & Jerry’s tweet on July 4th criticizing the United States for being built on “stolen Indigenous land.”
“This 4th of July, it’s high time we recognize that the US exists on stolen Indigenous land and commit to returning it,” the ice cream maker said.

Two days after the initial tweet, on Thursday, Unilever’s stock price had dropped 1.9 percent, resulting in a $1.7 billion market cap loss.
Interestingly, Ben & Jerry’s tweet omitted the fact that its offices are located on property that was once owned by the Abenaki tribe in Burlington, Vermont, according to Newsweek.
Twitter users quickly called out the hypocrisy and demanded that Ben & Jerry’s be the first company to get compensation for the property.
Give ALL of your property and land back to the Native Americans right now then… or shut up.

become a non profit. Give all your proceeds to native american families. Put your money where your mouth is. Only hire volunteers. Step down from your CEO positions for a person of color. Give up your house and your private land that you own first.

Executives at Ben & Jerry’s are obviously not interested in “returning” their property. They only used words in their tweet to declare their support for social justice and the rejection of “white supremacy.”
They’re here to make as much money as they can, just like any other business. They wouldn’t be in the business of producing a fatty, sugary dessert in a nation where black people are twice as likely to die from diabetes as white people if they were worried about “racism,”
Or perhaps Ben & Jerry’s hasn’t realized that ice cream is obviously racist by nature.
It also doesn’t seem to understand that the American people are fed up with the self-righteous woke elite lecturing them and treating them like criminals.
Although there are many things about average Americans that businesses like Ben & Jerry’s and Bud Light don’t like, they sure do like their money.
However, it appears that some Americans aren’t eager to lick your hand after you’ve booted it like a puppy. Awakened businesses are beginning to realize that they must choose between politics and profits.
It took Bud Light a while to realize this.
What about Ben & Jerry’s?
