Meet Pillo – a device designed specially to keep track of your health needs and dispense your medication as and when you need it.
The Personal Home Health robot has been dubbed “the smartest and friendliest way to manage yours and your family’s health”, according to the creators.
To keep your personal information safe, Pillo comes with tamper proof casing and advanced user recognition features.
As well as dispensing medication, the robot can connect you to a healthcare professional within minutes, saving you wasting time booking an appointment at the doctors or spending time sitting in a waiting room.
The website says: “Pillo securely stores up to four week’s worth of vitamins and medications in tamper proof containers with the device.
“And with his sophisticated identity recognition technologies, Pillo makes sure that medications are dispensed for the right user at the right time, every time.
“He can also send you or your caregiver reminders if you need a little help staying on schedule. Running low? Not to worry. Pillo knows and will automatically re-order your medications from your preferred pharmacy.”
In addition, Pillo can also sync up to other wireless devices – such as a smartphone or smartwatch.
The only catch? To be effective, Pillo will be keeping track of your every move, leaving some potential customers concerned about privacy.
