Spy Found DEAD & Stuffed Into Duffle Bag Just Days After Hacking Clinton’s Data

Gareth Williams, the 31-year-old M16 spy who found dead inside his London apartment in September 2010,  had hacked into secret data held on former U.S. President Bill Clinton, The Sun reported Tuesday.

Rubert Murdoch owns The Sun.

Williams was last seen on August 15, 2010. His naked body was discovered folded inside a 32″ x 19″ holdall bag which had been stuffed into his bathtub.

A Metropolitan Police investigation found it was “probably an accident,” despite an initial inquest concluding that his death was “unnatural and likely to have been criminally mediated.”

According to Breitbart, Mr. Williams had no alcohol or drugs in his system when he was found, and the inquest stated he would not have been able to seal himself in the bag alone.

Anonymous sources say he was helping on the joint monitoring network Echelon, which uses sophisticated programs to eavesdrop on terrorists and criminal gangs, particularly those in Russia.

Mr. Williams had been on secondment from Britain’s signals intelligence operation GCHQ to MI6, and then subsequently to the United States’ National Security Agency, reported The BBC.

The Sun claims Williams had “dug out the guestlist for an event the former American president was going to as a favour for a pal.”

Said a source:

“The Clinton diary hack came at a time when Williams’s work with America was of the most sensitive nature. It was a diplomatic nightmare for Sir John Sawers, the new director of MI6 at the time.”

His unexplained and suspicious death came shortly after he had returned from a hacking conference in the United States. Since then, it has been the subject of investigation by the FBI.

Voicemails Williams had left for family and friends were deleted in the days after his death and his mobile phone and sim cards were laid out on a table.

The Sun claims a rival agent may have broken into his Pimlico flat, which is just a short walk from Britain’s Houses of Parliament, in order to destroy or remove evidence.
