Influencer Brianna Olsen is publicly defending Santos Salazar after his attempted murder arrest, telling TMZ she believes the father of her newborn is being falsely accused.

TMZ reported that Olsen spoke outside a downtown Los Angeles courthouse on Monday, where she had arrived for Salazar’s court date with their newborn. Olsen described herself as nervous and said she had been up all night with the baby.

Olsen disputes the accusation

According to TMZ, Olsen said there are “two sides to every story” and argued that details in the case have been twisted. She characterized the situation as a “big misunderstanding.”

Olsen also denied speculation that she was seeking a restraining order against Salazar. Instead, she told TMZ she wants the 21-year-old back home with his family so he can “learn from this and just never go back” to jail.

She said she and Salazar have spoken multiple times since his arrest. According to Olsen, Salazar regrets the circumstances that led to him being jailed and wants to return home to his son.

Attorney argues the case is overcharged

Salazar’s attorney, Nicholas Rosenberg, told TMZ the case stems from what he described as a domestic disagreement that was exaggerated by an alleged eyewitness.

Rosenberg called the attempted murder booking “grossly overcharged” and said he hopes prosecutors either reject the case entirely or file lesser charges that could reduce Salazar’s reported $1 million bail.

Arrest followed domestic violence call

TMZ previously reported that Salazar was arrested Thursday after the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a domestic violence call at an address connected to him and Olsen.

Olsen had previously told TMZ that the attempted murder booking was blown out of proportion. The source report does not state whether prosecutors have filed formal charges or how Salazar has pleaded.
