Woman Who Gave Birth In Subway’s Restroom Arrested After Cops Followed Her Blood Trail [VIDEO]


Mary Grace Trinidad, 37, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and child abandonment after a trail of blood led officers to where she resides. The woman allegedly spent 10 minutes inside Subway’s restroom and left the establishment in a hurry leaving the newborn submerged in the toilet.

The baby boy was by a customer and restaurant employee just after the bleeding woman was seen leaving the restroom, the new born was hospitalized and is in a critical condition after he was found partially submerged in toilet water, with the umbilical cord hanging from the toilet. He was taken to the neonatal intensive care unit at Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they followed a trail of blood located about 20 miles outside Los Angeles where they found the woman at PEP boys about 500 yards away. She was then arrested and was taken to the hospital where the newborn was brought in for her pregnancy related issues.

The 37 year old is apparently wanted for a narcotics charge that has a bail of $2 million dollars.



Authorities released the video footage of the incident to bring attention to the public of the California Safely Surrendered Baby Law to prevent newborns from being abandoned. The law allows parents to give up their infants within 72 hours of birth with no questions asked.
